The human capacity to adapt, evolve and negotiate hardship and novel situations is unparalleled and it speaks of how we as the most advanced specie has learned to use our perception, intuition, and intellect to adapt, overcome and evolve.

BUT certain things you never get used to. Certain things, once you have tasted other things; are never palatable again. That thing for me, is my version of freedom. It is a particular version of freedom that I embraced after leaving the cage built by a society fed on ever-distant dreams projected by a constant stream of marketing that tell you what you need to be happy and fulfilled. The car you must drive, the house you must live in, the holidays you must take, the food you must eat, and the people you should meet. It also tells you the things you should never do or say so that you stay on the path that will lead you to the pot of gold at the end of a never-ending rainbow. The mask must never slip, and your hunger for superficial entertainment and information must always be catered for, because if you are ever full and content, nothing can be sold to you any longer, and you become an unviable participant and actor on this stage.

I escaped the stage and started moving outside the boundaries of conformity. I dared to follow another dream. One where I can hang out with everyone no matter their creed, colour, or status and one in which I do not have to adhere to society's narrow rules, regulations, and false hopes to find contentment, meaning and peace. There are amazing minds and places, simple pleasures and a tapestry of emotions and feelings of wonderment out there on that road, new meaning and connections, novel experiences, (both good and bad); and I am forever bound to this way of life. Not living this way of life for me; is unbearable. And THAT is why I choose; to WALK THE EARTH.

f life. Not living this way of life for me; is unbearable. And THAT is why I choose; to WALK THE EARTH.

As humans, we have evolved to adapt. Another war breaks out, a village is destroyed. Gunfire and explosions rip up the earth and make both the sky and vulnerable humans tremble, they are bathed in shock. Blood and broken bones become letters that spell death and destruction. The violence seems to be unbearable. An old lady cries and so does a young child sitting next to her, but somehow they get through this and survive.
