CROSSING AFRICA BY AFRICAN TAXI

In 2016 I travelled up Africa, spending most of my time in Mozambique and Malawi. Because I had a minimal budget I often had to resort to using African minibus taxis for transport. I found this to be a uniquely authentic way in which to experience Africa. You will find these taxis absolutely everywhere and more often than not they are completely overfilled with local people and often the physical state they are in leaves much to be desired for. So imagine going down a dusty road in one of these at the speed the road and condition of the little bus will allow, surrounded by locals and stopping from time to time to drop people off or pick up more passengers. This is often extremely uncomfortable and even downright dangerous, but I found this to be a uniquely exhilarating experience and it gave me a real grassroot, authentic feel for Africa and it's people; the type of experience foreign visitors often never have. Ever since I had the dream of one day going on an adventure that will attempt to cross the African continent by using this method of transport, and now with the help of JOHN BAUER, this dream is becoming more of a reality. Being a filmmaker and editor myself I think this will make an excellent series of VLOGS for my YOUTUBE CHANNEL which I intend to share with the world.
